The studio suite we stayed in was impeccably clean and had a comfortable sofa.

Not a very clean room, especially the carpet. No kettle, just the bucket.

Everything was simply very comfortable. Fancy hotel, I liked its very central location short walk to the center of Madrid, old Madrid, and eberything, the metro, restaurants, madrid's landmarks. The service here was marvellous. Besides, I had no problems with free Wi-Fi throughout the property.

The location of the establishment is perfect for moving around the centre of Madrid. The views to Plza España from the room. The staff is charming and very friendly. Although you can't book a parking space in the hotel, it's not a problem, there is a public car park right outside the door, where they give you a small discount with the tiket stamped by the hotel
The facilities are somewhat old, although it is true that they are remodeling different floors of the building. The accessibility is not good, even though it has a small ramp (badly designed). The soundproofing is not very good. The heating system is very efficient, but very noisy. All of the above is admissible because of the age of the building. What is not admissible is the quality/price of the breakfast, in an attached mini cafeteria, with some "difficult" stairs, exiguous premises, it was not possible to make even a toast (the light was skipped), as there was no space, nor was there variety.

The location is the most positive aspect of this hotel, as it is conveniently situated near the Royal Palace and the Gran Via, with a metro station just a short walk away. This makes it easy to explore popular attractions such as the Cathedral, Palace, Prado Museum, and Atocha train station. The rooms are spacious and include a small kitchenette, allowing guests to save money by preparing their own meals. Additionally, the staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant stay.
No areas for improvement.

Great views all around! The room was spacious and equipped with everything we needed. The restaurant offers a variety of options for different budgets, but the staff could be friendlier 😕.

What i like best is the location, few distance from gran via, and close to metro station.
The hotels claim the mini kitchen is equip with microwave, but there was none. and the corners ot the bathroom is not that cleaned.

I will say that its location is magnificent to enjoy Madrid. Quiet environment the reception staff is very friendly. I arrived around 9 am, left my suitcase and went. I returned around noon and room assigned was still occupied but I was assigned an even better room. rooms are spacious studios with a good, large bathroom and kitchen that I don't use. Great cleanliness, huge TV. It lacks some decoration or renovation details but very little. In the fridge I found the basics, good. breakfast is made leaving the hotel right in the cafeteria next door. For the price of the excellent breakfast. Maybe the cafeteria upstairs is a bit small, especially at breakfast time, Sandra, manager and those responsible for it advised me to go down to the street and wanted eggs, etc to ask... So I did. I went upstairs, got the drink and so on, came down, result was very good and a coffee +attention a 10.

The room had comfortable twin beds. It was clean and had all the essentials like central heating, a work desk, and a multi-channel television. The location was perfect, only a 10-15 minute walk from a beautiful palace on a ridge.

Staff was very nice. General location - see dislikes.
Very outdated facility. Only Spanish tv and then 1990 19" tube tv's that you can barely see, Rooms look like leftover from 1980. no Coffee maker, microwave. No ac in hallways so summer will be hot. Area hotel is located in is central but the block it's on is very cruddy. Have to walk left or right for about 3-400 ft to get past this bad stuff. Would not recommend to american tourist who cannot speak spanish, Internet is additional 12.5 euro / day which is ridiculous in this day and age, especially for a hotel with these lackluster features.
Tourists from South Africa often stay at these properties. Ideas for your future trips.
